Depositions, an order of execution, and summons in a case heard in New London, Connecticut, concerning a charge of assault and battery by Mate Edward A. Raymond against Timothy Sullivan. The summons was issued to Timothy Sullivan in an effort to get Raymond out of jail due to his inability to pay his fine. Raymond and Sullivan were crew members on the Ship Pembroke on a whaling voyage out of New London. The men whose depositions were taken were Benjamin Lewis, John McCready, and Aaron Cronk.
